Chris Farrell - Action research: what, why, and how?

This talk will give an overview of the theoretical background to Action Research and some examples of successful practical application.
David Petrie - Using action research for personal professional development

This session will examine some of the ways in which action research can benefit us as teachers, helping us to move away from assumption and intuition and towards a disciplined inquiry that seeks to help us improve or change our professional practice.

Peter Clements and Sarah Smith - Creating a teacher-led professional development group

We will share our own experience of setting up a teacher-led development group. We will talk about how we motivated teachers to get involved, why we think it has succeeded, and we’ll offer some practical tips for teachers who wish to start their own groups.
