Happiness in the classroom is...
What makes teachers happy? What makes pupils happy? For teachers, one of the things that make our lives easier is using material in class that fits in with our curriculum and that is clear and easy to use. In terms of our pupils, many educators and experts agree that it's easier to help them learn a language if they are being taught, in a relaxed, positive environment and enjoying themselves. In this session we will show you how New Happy House meets the requirements of the new core curriculum and take a look at the importance of classroom atmosphere.

Nina Lauder - holds a B.A. in Humanities from Bishop's University, Canada. She has been teaching at all levels since 1990 and for the past eight years has been involved in educational consulting and teacher training. She has given workshops all over Spain and has collaborated with the British Council and the Ministry of Education on professional development programmes. She has also recently led teacher training workshops in Croatia, Turkey, Serbia and Poland.

Involve me and I will learn
One of the natural qualities of every child is curiosity, but curiously, as teachers, we sometimes misinterpret children being curious as not being on task or being irrelevant. Spontaneous, innocent questions come out of a child's genius. How can we harness this spontaneity and see it as an opportunity to learn and to develop creativity? Project third edition offers a framework to encourage curiosity, to develop creativity, imagination, and self-expression. In this talk I present various ways of involving students so that they are more focused and eager learners at the same time.
