Your CLIL - Identifying and activating general academic language

n many CLIL contexts, schools import mother tongue textbooks for use in their classrooms or download texts and resources found on the internet. Though some materials can stress core subject-specific language, most tend not to make general academic language explicit for learners. Participants will be invited to discover the 'hidden' language of a number of content tasks and asked to discuss the importance of an explicit approach to the teaching of language for CLIL classrooms.
