English for Specific Purposes is becoming more and more diversified in order to more closely meet specific language needs in professional and academic contexts, and this is the background to the 3rd IATEFL Poland ESP SIG Conference taking place in January 2016. This conference, which is aimed at ESP professionals across Europe, is intended to provide a platform that offers a comprehensive overview of current and future developments in ESP, encompassing methodology, materials, media and assessment. All ESP stakeholders in further and higher education, e.g. educational establishments, teachers, teacher trainers, publishers and test providers, are invited to participate.

The first two IATEFL Poland ESP SIG conferences held in 2014 and 2015 gave practitioners the opportunity to present best-practice examples of their teaching and proved themselves as a forum for spreading ideas on materials, methods and media and creating networks. The aim of the 2016 conference is to take this approach a step further and open the conference to a wider European audience, and to this end the whole conference will be available live online.

Submissions should be sent by 15th October 2015, using the Speakers Proposal Form (go to the form). Confirmation of acceptance will then be given by 31st October 2015.
