I have worked for Wimbledon Academy in London, where I prepared Adults to pass their citizenship exam that is required to obtain a UK passport. I am currently teaching groups with entry level 1, 2, 3 according to the requirements of the Home Office. My experience includes working as an EFL teacher for London Brookes College (2 months) in Hendon; as well as working for ACE Academy tutoring company (4 months) in London, where I have taught children (up to 16 years of age) English and Public Speaking (based on the National Curriculum). I have also given private English lessons for Polish people for about 2 years. Teaching is the career that I am very passionate about – and take pride in. I have a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) certificate from a course in England. I have also been studying law as a Police Officer for the last two years. I am a hard working person who is very sociable, flexible and always keen to try something new and take on a new challenge. During my time working with the Police and in other employments I have had the unique opportunity to meet people from many different countries and walks of life. I had always thought that I would like to move to another country at some point and I have recently moved to Poland. I am currently learning to speak Polish and am enjoying doing so. I would now like to teach English to other people who wish to visit England. I enjoy sports and martial arts, computers, reading books and watching movies.

I am English but currently live in Finland where I currently teach English in the Savonia University of Applied Sciences in the town of Iisalmi. As well as English I speak fluent Finnish and am familiar with Poland as I spent a month in Wroclaw on a CELTA course at International House last July. As a result of the course and spending time in Poland I am very interested in coming to teach and work in Poland. As a teacher I consider myself to be outgoing, enthusiastic, professional with a genuine love for teaching and for creating a fun and educational teaching environment best served to suit the needs of the students I have had considerable experience of teaching English to a wide range of students, from pre-school children aged up to 6 years old to adults. I have also taught to a wide range of students – business students, social care students, nurse, occupational health therapy, physiotherapy and agricultural and natural resources students. I am a young but quite experienced teacher of EFL and the more I teach the more I realize how much there is to be learnt. I am aware that having an excellent command of a language does not make one an excellent foreign language teacher. To a great extent teaching is about guiding the students to their own linguistic discoveries. I also believe that during an English lesson a friendly atmosphere is vital. I require and I encourage the students to breach their own boundaries but I do not expect the students to perform beyond their capabilities. Usually, I incorporate 4 basic skills during a lesson, however I focus most on speaking activities.

I am a particulary dedicated, reliable and conscientions person. I am lively and dedicated in the classroom to my learners overall experience. I have several years experienc in the UK working with young people and experience in teaching in informal education settings which stands me in good stead for the language classroom. Earlier on in the year I successfully completed my Cambridge CELTA Certificate gaining Pass B. The course was held at the British Council where I attended 90 hours of Input sessions and 6 hours of observed teaching practice.
