What would you think of parents who expected their toddler to run before she could walk? You’d probably think it was very unhelpful …
As teachers, it’s our task to help our learners to walk first, before they learn to run. This is especially helpful in the hardest skill that students have to tackle - Writing.
In this talk, we show how to:
- keep it simple
- hold students’ hands in the early stages
- keep them motivated
- give them enough challenge
At the same time we show how to practise microskills and macroskills, and how to deal with different text types.
