09:30 mgr Ewa Grobelska and mgr Anna Olkiewicz: “CULTURE UNLIMITED” (90 min.)
The aim of our workshop is to provide inspiration for teachers who wish to prepare authentic teaching aids for culture-oriented lessons. They may serve as a break from textbook-based classes and add variety to English language courses at different levels. We would like to focus on behavioural rather than factual approach to culture which allows students to share their cultural competence with the teacher. We expect active participation from the audience.
11:15 mgr Robert Piórkowski: “CAN MOODLE BE YOUR FRIEND OR ENEMY?” (45 min.)
In this short presentation I'd like to show how moodle can facilitate and automatize teacher's work. I will demonstrate a few most useful tools that definitely add variety and attractiveness to a lesson.

In addition to that, I'm going to prove that teachers can stay up to date with the latest technological gizmos, and be reliable and responsive conveyors of information and ideas for students.

“PUB QUIZ AS A MEANS OF ACQUIRING ANOTHER CULTURE” (60 min.)
Ordinary conversations revolve round everyday life and culture rather than history or the Queen. Cup finals and pop singers are more appealing to natives and students, and, therefore, should be a part of curriculum besides factual knowledge.

During the workshop teachers will prepare a trivia quiz, combined with additional resources, e.g., media, books, GSCE tests, Moodle (modular internet-based courses), etc.
The meeting is open to all pre-service and in-service teachers of English.
The admission is:
free for the members of IATEFL Poland
5.00 PLN for non-members paid upon the arrival to the meeting.
All the participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
