During this session you'll be introduced to 'wikis' - a medium which can extend the boundaries of your classroom and facilitate teacher-student contact.

You'll have hands-on experience of how easy it can be to find and manage interesting materials on the web, enabling your students to practice reading, writing and listening skills whatever their individual needs and abilities are. Whether your students work individually or on group projects, they'll be able to comment on and correct each other’s work... and you'll always know how much and how well they're doing. The software is absolutely free, and so is storage space on the web!

However, don't you feel that the old tricks of the trade are losing their impact? Maybe we need to do something fresh to meet the changing needs and expectations of our students...?
My answer is: let's use the technology that our students love to engage them - and let them create! In my session I am going to invite you to rediscover stories with the help of Microsoft Movie Maker, show you how to make your own film using this free software, how to record your own narrative or where to find nice visuals. But, most importantly, I am going to show you some examples of my students' work accompanied with ready made lesson ideas. I hope you'll leave inspired.

15:00 – 16:30 workshop 3:Make a flashcard in a flash! – employing authoring tools to facilitate your work
Have you ever spent hours on end trying to produce classroom materials that would really dazzle your students? These days are through! Come to this workshop, and you will learn how to create crossword puzzles, bingo cards and vowelless texts in a flash! The software that we are going to sample is absolutely free and really teacher-friendly. You will have a chance to try everything out for yourself and design a few activities of your own, to see how easy and fun it really is.
