Of everything we do to help our students in the language classroom, perhaps the most beneficial in terms of communicative ability is the development of their vocabulary. In this session we will explore the value of vocabulary and look at a range of activities, both traditional and digital, for building, practising and testing our students’ lexis.

We will also examine how vocabulary-based activities can be utilised to develop students’ receptive and productive skills and to help them prepare for formal examinations.
