Feeling in need of a boost? You think you'd like to attend a course or workshop, but you can't find anything that interests you and don't have time to go anywhere? You have the feeling of being alone, overworked, underpaid and unappreciated? This talk looks at the wealth of opportunities for teacher development offered free on the Internet.

2/ Roles of teachers and learners: reflecting on what we do and who we are This workshop asks you to think critically about how you see the role of the teacher. We consider where the ideas that make up your teacher 'persona' come from by thinking about the 'ghosts behind the blackboard' (Weintroub) and your own learning experiences. Finally you will be asked to imagine yourself as a learner in your own classroom. You will go away with a fresh perspective on your teaching.
