IRELAND ST.PATRICK’S DAY - Let’s have a song, let’s have a dance, let’s tell an old tale and gather round for a joke. This is the Ireland people know and love, that you would expect to see on a typical St.Patrick’s Day. We will of course be introduced to this rich and truly entertaining folk culture getting our feet wet as we try but understanding how Ireland came to be the modern one we know is not always a pretty tale to tell. It’s not just a story of a struggle for independence, it’s also myths and legends, a history full of tribes; Gaelic Celts and even Vikings, foot tapping folk music that will get you dancing the céilí and we will find out how the crack is and have a good crack doing it. For that matter where did St.Patrick come from?
