"Halloween Fun and Games You might think “Halloween” is just a daft American tradition. However it has a much richer history than that. Halloween began in Ireland over 2,000 years ago in ancient Celtic Ireland. Richie tells the story of Halloween and we will find out some of the games and traditions and how they came to be. Students will have an opportunity to do some apple bobbing and other Halloween activities!

Ladies and Gentlemen Great news – Her Majesty is coming round for afternoon tea! But wait… do you know which forks to put where? What is the rule with hats? And most importantly, what’s the proper way to make the tea? Fortunately, this session provides all the necessary instruction in the dark arts of British etiquette to make sure that when Queen Liz writes next, it will be an invitation to the palace and not the Tower of London!

British Festivals and Traditions Richie Mullaney brings us through a top few of his neighbours’ weird and wonderful customs and traditions. Britain has a rich history of multicultural influences which have led to an extraordinary amount of bizarre traditions between the three countries, but which country out does them all? We’ll compare the three countries top customs and try some out for ourselves! A little sneak peek to the agenda, we’ve got cheese rolling, Morris dancing, pancake racing & Gurning! Hogsmeade and Beltane…. What are these? Let’s look at some of the oldest festivals in human history, celebrated exclusively in the United Kingdom!
