We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic native speakers from UK, USA, CANADA and AUSTRALIA to work with us on our project. Our project can be treated as a nice change from the whole year work that can balance your budget.
The main idea of the Project is :
Teenagers aged 14-18 from different EU countries meet in a hotel situated in STARA LUBOVNA (Slovakia ) and they stay there for 5 full days. During that time they take part in different activities like: language workshops, sport activities both outdoor and indoor, art activities and many others.
Through this project they will have a chance to meet their peers from other countries, get to know them better, get to know the problems they are facing, the music they listen to, the idols they have, etc. It will enable them to get to know the cultures of other nations.
The official language of the project is English which means that it will be in the „air” all the time what will help the participants to break the barrier of shyness in speaking English, which is a serious problem for most of those who learn English.
The project will also make participants more open-minded and tolerant to other cultures, nations and races.
The important thing to remember is that native speakers responsibility is TO LEAD THE ACTIVITIES NOT TO GUARD students
We are looking for native speakers from UK, USA, Canada, Australia or other countries where English is an official language to work with us on this innovative project.
We need you for 1 week in May 12.05-18.05.2013 and/or for 1 week in June 09.06-15.06.2013.
We want to establish a long term cooperation and if both sides are satisfied we can expand our cooperation for next year.
Here are the conditions for native speakers:
1. We are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and active people who really like working with teenagers and get on well with them. People who enjoy teaching not necessarily in the old fashioned way which is common at public schools.
2. You will have 4 language workshops in the morning (starting from 9 a.m. to 13 through 4 days ). 1 workshop lasts 50 minutes. It adds to 16 workshops through 4 days. We will give you the guidelines regarding how to organise the work-shops.
3.You will also lead/supervise different activities in the afternoon from 14:30 to 17:30 which includes both outdoor and indoor ones like sport activities (football, american football, baseball,dodgeball, volleyball, kickball etc), setting domino, cycling in the sur-rounding area, drama activities etc. There will also be other people (non-native teachers of English accompanying groups who are the "shepherds" of the groups) helping you, but you will be the leaders of each activity.
4.You will also assisst in the evening activities from 19:00 to 21:00 where teenagers will present different things prepared in advance.
5.There will be a coordinator of the project in Stara Lubovna through all the time during the project who will coordinate your work.
6.We will provide board and lodging for you, which you don’t have to pay for during your work at the project.
7.You will be most needed during those 5 days (Monday to Friday).
8.For taking part in our Project we will pay you 320 EURO/round plus 50 Euro to cover transportation costs.
