Cambridge English Language Assessment announces six
IATEFL Scholarships 2014


Cambridge English Language Assessment will fund six professionals or researchers involved in
English language teaching or language assessment to attend the International Association of
Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) conference next April.
The six scholarships – open to teachers, researchers and academics in the fields of English language
learning, teaching and assessment – will fund expenses paid trips to the 48th Annual IATEFL
Conference, Harrogate, UK, 2–5 April 2014.
This year’s categories include the Cambridge English: Teacher Training Scholarship and the
Cambridge English Teacher Scholarship. There are also scholarships in memory of four leading
figures, now sadly passed away, who made a huge impact on the language teaching and assessment
industry over the last few decades: Dr Peter Hargreaves, Bill Shephard, Dr John Trim and Morgan
Terry.
People wanting to apply will need to submit a written exercise and application (details in website
below). Successful applicants will receive an expenses paid trip to the IATEFL Conference 2014
(including flights), a year’s membership of IATEFL and a year’s membership of Cambridge English
Teacher – a professional development site for teachers developed by Cambridge English Language
Assessment and Cambridge University Press.
