Konferencja dla lektorów, nauczycieli języków obcych, dyrektorów i metodyków szkół językowych

Serdecznie zapraszamy nauczycieli i dyrektorów szkół, do działu w kongresie "Perspektywy edukacji językowej w kolejnym 20-leciu" który odbędzie się 10-11 maja 2013r. na Uniwersytecie Warszawskim.

Z okazji jubileuszu 20-lecia PASE, wśród zaproszonych do prelekcji gości, znaleźli się wybitni eksperci, którzy podzielą się doświadczeniami z zakresu metodyki, zarządzania i marketingu.




Wydawnictwo Cambridge University Press reprezentować będzie Herbert Puchta – wybitny profesor Uniwersytetu Graz w Austrii, autor wielu publikacji Cambridge, w tym popularnych kursów: Playway to English, Join Us for English, English in Mind i MORE! Wśród jego najnowszych publikacji wymienić można m.in.: Teaching Young Learners to Think, Grammar Songs and Raps, Get on Stage! oraz kurs Super Minds.

Herbert Puchta wprowadził elementy teorii inteligencji wielorakich jako podstawę metodyki nauczania języka angielskiego. Jako autor wielu znakomitych prezentacji metodycznych uczestniczył w prestiżowych, międzynarodowych konferencjach dla nauczycieli języka angielskiego. Pełnił także funkcję prezydenta IATEFL (International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language).

SESJA 1 - PLENARNA:

Bored students? Consider the brain’s reward system for a change

Latest studies in neurosciences offer some exciting and partly unexpected findings about the plasticity of the human brain. According to those findings, the release of certain chemicals is a pre-condition for the changes that need to take place in the brain if learning is supposed to have long lasting effects. One of the ways of getting this process going is by activating the brain’s own ‘reward system’. We will look at conventional and unconventional ways of using rewards and discuss how we can get stronger motivational responses from our students.

SESJA 2 - BLOK METODYCZNY:

(Critical) thinking with young learners and teens

Today’s children are growing up into an ever-changing and unpredictable world. As educators we need to respond to this by equipping young learners with the skills required to face those challenges. One of the most important assets to be developed is critical thinking, as it enables people to assess new information, understand unexpected challenges, think ‘outside the box’, make decisions, solve problems and evaluate their own performance – in other words, to develop tools for lifelong learning.

In this session, Herbert demonstrates how you can enrich young learners’ language learning through engaging them in real-world thinking tasks.
